Aerospace Manufacturing
Within the expanding global aerospace industry, there is growing significance placed on having special processes Nadcap accredited and the importance of recognition for aerospace suppliers to be Nadcap Qualified Manufacturer has become an objective for the leaders in aerospace manufacturing. Realizing the relevancy of Nadcap certification for its customers, Electrotherm undertook to assure that all its furnaces will comply with ASM2750D and RPS 953, Issue 10 standards, thus ensuring equipment reliability and enabling our customers' furnaces to be Nadcap accredited.
Orthopedic Forging
In today's competitive global economy, orthopedic device manufacturing companies are directing their attention towards forging. Forging is one of the few processes that increase the longevity of the implant, (the result of smaller grains) and produce a no porosity product. It reduces production costs since forgings use less material and eliminate secondary processes such as machining and processing.
With its wide experience in the aerospace industry, Electrotherm successfully brings added value, improved efficiency and saves valuable production time to the orthopedic forging industry with its rotary hearth furnaces. Furthermore, these furnaces can easily be integrated in an automated forging unit cell for lean manufacturing.
Magnesium Alloy Recycling
Combined with increased global consumption of magnesium, the rising magnesium prices and the growing industrial concern for the environment's welfare, recycling in-house is more than ever a viable solution for the magnesium die-casters. In-house recycling is not directly subjected to global commodity price increases nor is it indirectly affected by global prices as with the secondary material offered by the commercial recycler. In addition to being an economical solution, Electrotherm recycling system is flux free and enables high purity, chloride free primary quality material.
